BUILD Prince George’s serves as an independent voice for diverse local and minority businesses and works to advance the views and concerns of our membership in Prince George’s County and the surrounding Washington DC metropolitan region.
We also work to educate elected officials, policymakers, business leaders and the public about key policies that enable business start-up and growth. Through our advocacy and education, BUILD Prince George’s staff conveys the importance of entrepreneurship to job creation, opportunity and economic growth in the region.
Some of our key Advocacy services include:
Identifying issues that matter to our members so we can effectively advocate for local and minority business interests at the local and state level
Ensure that our member’s views are heard in the legislative process and educate lawmakers to consider the impact of regulations on local and minority businesses
Facilitate conversations between public/private agencies to share valuable information on how to do business, industry updates and other important information that may impact diverse suppliers and communities
Town halls with government and elected officials.
